Scrapbooking

I got the most precious baby book and scrapbook for Daniel, and what am I doing with it? Nothing! I am so far behind on keeping up his scrapbook. I really need to start it. He's going to be 5 months on the first, so I better hop to it before I get even further behind!

I'm pretty sure Daniel is going through his 6mo growth spurt now, at 5 months. It's now towards the end of it, but about a week ago he started cluster feeding like crazy. Now it's slowing down, thankfully! I have been thinking of investing in a baby scale, to weigh him and keep up with his growth since he goes so long between appointments now. My scale is bizzurk and I don't trust it's readings, mostly because I weighed 117, and an hour later weighed in at 75! Something is off. Lol.

Other than that, he is doing really great! Sleeping, playing, teething, rolling, and everything else that a baby does!

Updates

I have not had much to write about, but I know I need to keep updating the blog or ill just keep forgetting and there will be no longer a blog!

Last week was pretty good. Daniel is still teething, those little suckers don't want to come out yet. He's pretty much nursing alllllllllll day so the couch is where we reside during the day. He's sleeping well at night, wakes up maybe once some nights, so I'm happy he is getting his sleep.

Nap time is getting better. We were struggling for a bit trying to nap at a decent hour, and now we have for it! Fingers crossed that it sticks.

I can't believe he is almost 5 months old. Time really does fly, and I miss my newborn. I have to admit, he is much more fun now that he plays :)

So, he has been saying mum for the whole day! He will go "mumum mummmm mum". I am counting this as saying mama! Yay happy day!

Nothing crazy on this weeks agenda. Alex is starting back to school again, and taking night classes so he can work during the day. Wah :( we will miss him 3 nights out of the week. I am so proud of him for setting his goals and sticking to them. I also am going back to school! I picked up an online class for this semester, and will return in spring. Being a nurse has always been my dream, and I plan on finishing my schooling to do just that. I have about 1.5 year left, so I will finish that before any more babies.

Shots... The not so good ones.

Well, Monday was not fun. Or Tuesday, or Wednesday for that matter. I blame it on the shots. He suffered the needles again, and this time they seemed to bother him more than last. He's been super duper cranky on and off, as well as not sleeping well anymore. He is also teething, so I know he's bothered by both things. Poor baby, I do wish I could endure all of his pain for him.

He never used to like the pacifier, but since I'm pretty positive (110%) his bottom teeth are going to cut soon, he's been chewing on them, just the tip where  the two teeth would come in! Whatever floats his boat & makes him more comfortable works for me.

We have been quite busy this week though, meeting up with friends and playing. He's a trooper, yet still refuses to nap during the day. I seriously try every trick in the book, and he doesn't budge!

He weighs 14lbs & measures a whopping 26 inches :)

He loves his daddy!

Pictures

Yesterday we took some family pictures since my sister is in town! I absolutely love them and can't wait to see the final edits. We found this beautiful church on Flagler dr, just south of The Breakers. It had a nice memorial garden and really amazing detail work on the church itself! We then went to Rocco's tacos on Clematis to have an early birthday celebration for my mom. Daniel surprisingly slept all through dinner, which is very rare. He was probably super worn out from our photoshoot!

Monday he has his 4 month check up, even though he's almost 5 months, lol. He will be getting his second round of shots. I am not looking forward to that.

His teething is still bothering him pretty bad, it's the worst at night. We're getting through it though :)

Superbaby

I have a whizkid. He is so smart for his young age, and I'm truly amazed at everything he learns. He is now able to pull him self up from a reclined position to a sitting position, but once he's up he just falls over, lol. We're still working on the balance. He's got rolling down, but still gets stuck sometimes going from tummy to back.

If he is in his rocker or laying down and wants to be picked up he will arch his back with his hands up, ready to be swooped away. It's so cute.

Lately he has been falling asleep on my shoulder like he used to when he was a newborn. Ever since he has been about 2 months old, he never wanted to sleep on me anymore. Well needless to say, I'm enjoying the cuddle time!

I feel like he is getting so big. We moved him into 9 month jammies because the 6 month were too tight on his piggy toes, leaving them all curled up. The 9 monthers have some room to grow into, but at least he has freedom!

His sleeping is going back to normal, thankfully! I keep the baby Tylenol near by just incase his teething is really bothering him.

What's all the fuss about?

It must be tooth cutting time because Daniel is back at the fussing again! Friday night is when it started, and he was the crankiest I have ever encountered. After five tries over hours and hours of rocking, patting, soothing, singing, and nursing, I finally in and let him sleep in our bed. Alex got booted to the couch :(.  Saturday night rolled around and it was more of the same routine. So fussy. I have to believe it's teething because it is only at night, which is primarily when teeth tend to cut. No ear infection because no fever, and he's perfectly fine throughout the day! So it's the darned baby teeth, has to be.

Most babies like to nap, not mine. For some odd reason, he fights his naps soo much throughout the day. It is a battle, and he is usually the winner.

He's getting more and more talkative. He will hold conversations with you and laugh. It's just so cute, I am becoming fluent in baby babbles.

We took him in the pool again on Sunday, and he was loving it again! We put him in his float but leaned him forward so his legs could kick, and he began kicking away! He would be great in a paddle boat!!

I love this cute collage. I made it on an app for the IPhone. It is called Afterlight. There are so many cool things :)

Pool time

As I had said in my previous posts, we took Daniel to the pool on Sunday. Well, he absolutely loved it. He loves his baths so it wasn't much of a suprise that he would enjoy this as well. He was kicking his legs and splashing around.

We put him in a little float that he could sit in and his legs were going crazy! It was the funniest and cutest thing to see.

I recently got super sick so that's why I have not updated the blog. Luckily my hubby is home this week to take care of me and DJ :) it's no fun being sick with a baby.

Month four!

Well time is going by as quick as ever, and he is 4 months old today! I miss him being a teeny tiny baby, but I also love watching him grow and learn new things. He is becoming so interactive and loves to have conversations.

He weighs somewhere around 14 pounds and he's about 26-27 inches long! His legs are the long part of him:)

This Sunday we are taking him to the pool for the first time! I am so excited and  since he loves being outdoors and his baths, I am sure the pool will be exciting for him.

I finally got a massage today, which was much needed! Thanks to my awesome husband :)

Daniels new thing is being a stunt baby and trying to break free out of his toys. He is sooo silly and fun to watch.
